Two Mates

Bismillaah
51:49

And of all things We created two mates; perhaps you will remember.

(Dhariyaat verse 49)

I thought about this, and would always want to know what these signs mean. Always I`d read, a sign for those who reflect, for those who are wise. And I think what sign..Sign of what. And I never understood, but now Alhamdulillah I think about it and begin to wonder. Ever think about men and women. Both cant get enough of each other. Men love women, alot. And women love men, alot. And when we are with our own genders, were talking about the other gender. For both men and women, we love each other so much that even when were separated were still thinking of the other. There on our minds. No rest when apart. No rest at all. There`s desire to be close to the other, a force, a natural inclination. Its just natural. A man will do what he can to get a woman`s attention, even without realizing it. And women do the same thing. Now surprisingly we claim independence  but we strive to have the love and interest of the other. We claim independence but we find the other irresistible  sometimes to the point where cannot live without the other. We do things to please the other, depending on each other.  And its cute. Now matter  how strong you are, you have a weakness for her. And no matter how rich you are, you are deprived without her.  And vise versa. Hmmm. Interesting.

But what even more interesting is how we cant get anything done without the other. Let me explain. Our existence. Did we get here by our own selves. Pop and out we came. No. An effort happened from two mates. Two halves became whole. And from that union, from that state of oneness came out a life. It normal cases, this wouldn't have happened from just half of the union (the one person).  Because we are all halves. We are missing something. Even look at our selves.
We`re not complete without the other half emotionally, or physically. We need our mate. We are missing our other half. And this shows us were we came from. We find rest in our union. And from that union of becoming one came life. This points us to our Creator, Allah, the one and only. From him were we created.
Not from two, or from three. But from Allah. And Allah gives us this sign, to remember that we are in need, we are not independent,  we are not whole, but he is the one free of need, As-Samad, the one and only Al-Ahad. And that all life originates from Him.
