The Pleasure of Allah

It is reported that ‘Abdullâh b. Mas’ûd said:

Allâh the Mighty and Sublime laughs at two men [being pleased with them]: a man who stands in the middle of the night while his family sleeps; he purifies himself and stands in prayer, so Allâh laughs at him. And a man who meets the enemy [in battle] and his comrades are defeated; but he stands his ground until Allâh the Mighty and Sublime gives him martyrdom.

  Bismillaaah     Ive been inspired lately by a close friend. And she really encouraged me. She write to me,   " Wen I m down, u lift me up"     And I think this is my inspiration for tonights piece of writing. What a great thing to hear from someone close to you. Expectations

Its crazy how sometimes we look to others to make us feel happy. We expect them to cheer us up when were down, to bring flowers when were sick, to just stop by every once to say hello. In the essence of it all, we have unrealistic expectations. You can find this in family relationships, among friends, besties, any kind of relationship, you name it. And this unrealistic expectation can ruin things. You could have an amazing relationship with someone. But then that moment comes when you expected them to be there for you. You thought theyd show up, to visit you when you were were sick, to have your back when you were in trouble, to just say hey and greet you randomly when you were lonely. You expected. They never came through. And now you feel hurt. But honestly. Who should you be more upset with? The Virtue of Wudu'

Bismillaah Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said, "Shall I not tell you something by which Allah effaces the sins and elevates ranks (in Jannah)?'' The Companions said; "Certainly, O Messenger of Allah.'' He (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said, "Performing the Wudu' thoroughly in spite of difficult circumstances.... and that is Ar-Ribat, and that is Ar-Ribat.'' (Muslim) Commentary:   Hardship and unpleasantness here stand for the uneasiness that one feels while performing Wudu' in severe cold. Ar-Ribat  means watching the frontiers or battlefront to check the invasion of the enemy.
